Kayla and Woody, Logootee, IN Wedding

Kayla and Woody are such a fun couple.  The laughs never stop with these two.  Woody is on all the time and kept us laughing all day.  When they first told me they were getting married on 3.31.12 I figured we’d be bundled up in our winter coats but I guess they knew better than us!  It was an unseasonably warm day in the 70s and perfect for a wedding!  The bridal party was a blast and we managed to march all over Loogootee with this entourage.  The reception was great and everyone had a blast.  When it was all said and done, Kayla and Woody spent their honeymoon in one of my favorite places; Hawaii!

Caitlin and Bill Engagement Bloomington, IN

Oh Caitlin and Bill. What can we say?  We love these two!  We have worked with Caitlin for years when she was a wedding coordinator at Cathy Teeters’ Beautiful Weddings.  We have always enjoyed working with Caitlin (and Cathy of course!) and when we heard we would be shooting her wedding, we couldn’t have been more excited!  She and Bill are getting married at the newest wedding site in Bloomington; Sycamore Farm. In keeping with this theme, it couldn’t have been more fitting for us to shoot at Caitlin’s family farm in Martinsville and we got to see the Sugar Shack! I have to admit I wasn’t sure what a sugar shack was but I quickly learned that it is the coolest thing ever where maple syrup is made!  This city girl learned a lot that day and got to appreciate all the beauty that was there.  We cannot wait for this wedding; it will be amazing!

Stephanie and Rex Sheraton Hotel Downtown Indianapolis

Stephanie and Rex… What a stunning couple.  They are both drop-dead gorgeous and have the most incredible personalities.  They are madly in love and couldn’t stop staring at each other all day.  The fun began in the freezing cold at the Circle in Downtown Indianapolis.  Stephanie was the best sport about the weather; she just ripped her coat off and trudged forward.  The ceremony was was held at the Sheraton Ballroom and was beautiful. Rex brought a tear to everyone’s eye when he sang a song he wrote for Stephanie. Although he didn’t know it, the mic was still on when he hugged Stephanie’s dad and told him “I promise to take really good care of her”.  The ceremony ended with lots of clapping and smiles and we moved upstairs to the panorama room where the view is amazing.  The whole circle can be seen and as luck would have it, there was a Colts game that night so the lights were on at the buildings.  It made for such a great backdrop during the reception! The night ended with Rex and Stephanie dancing and cutting loose, and Rex picking her up and declaring how much he loved her.  Such a beautiful couple and such an outstanding wedding!

Mary and Ryan Bloomington, Indiana Wedding

Mary and Ryan decided to end 2011 right by getting married two days before Christmas.  These are two of the most laid back people ever and their wedding was so great.  It was absolutely freezing outside but Mary braved the weather with her gorgeous strapless gown.  We headed on campus and then to downtown Bloomington to check out a few alleys and of course, some Christmas lights.  Who doesn’t love the gorgeous downtown lights?  We then headed to their wedding at their super cool venue; Russian Recording Studio.  We had a blast checking out all the  equipment and loved the incredibly high ceilings.  The ceremony was so unique with Ryan and Mary coming up with their vows on the spot and Mary telling Ryan “I think you’re neat”.  They had the whole crowd clapping as they toasted their marriage in front of all their guests.  The DJ played some amazing music and then dancing began.  Mary danced the night away while her guests joined in and helped her celebrate.  This was such a great way to end our year; our last (but certainly not least) couple of 2011!

Julia and Brian IU Auditorium Wedding

Julia and Brian are such a great couple!  Julia could give lessons on how to be a relaxed bride.  She was so laid back and despite the fact that is was absolutely freezing, no wait, it was BELOW freezing, she never complained once. These two are so incredibly in love; they just couldn’t take their eyes off each other all day.  They had an amazing wedding at one of our favorite venues; the IU Auditorium.  Who knew when they set their date for 12.10.11 that it would also be the night IU beat Kentucky?  Needless to say, there was plenty to celebrate and the campus was booming with activity; we’re pretty sure they won because they were so excited about these two getting married!  Brian proposed downtown one year to the day that they got married so of course we had to make a run downtown for some gorgeous Christmas lights and a stop where he proposed. It was a perfect day and they had an amazing time.  What a great way to end the year!

Kayla and Kevin Bloomington, IN Engagement

Kayla and Kevin were so much fun.  We braved a chilly December day to walk around campus and downtown.   These two were so comfortable with the camera we just kept on shooting!  Kevin shared his ultra sweet proposal story with us which involved Kayla’s birthday and cake with a very special message.  Of course she said “yes” why wouldn’t she?  Besides being a great guy, he did an awesome job on picking out the ring!  These two are perfect for each other and will tie the knot next October at Valle Vista in Greenwood, IN

Chelsea and Tony | Vincennes Indiana Wedding Photographer

Chelsea and Tony had a perfect day with lots of sunshine and gorgeous leaves on the trees.  They exchanged vows at the amazing Sacred Heart church which is full of gorgeous color and detail.  Chelsea’s dark hair was a stunning contrast to her white dress which looked like it was made for her.  After the ceremony, we headed downtown for some fun photos of the whole bridal party. We couldn’t resist stopping at the jewlers where they bought their wedding rings!  We climbed around alleys and walked in the street (all the things your mother warns you never to do!) and had a blast.  Of course, we couldn’t help but take advantage of that incredible George Rogers Clark Memorial; it is amazing!  We were having a great time but decided we probably should head to the reception where the party was!  The dancers were plenty and so was the fun with a photo booth and lots of other fun stuff.  I was introduced to the “Statue of Liberty” drink that apparently has become tradition at the Stephens’ family weddings (it involves lighting your finger so don’t try this at home!).  I should have known this wedding would be a blast since we shot Liza’s (Chelsea’s cousin) wedding last Spring at the Hall of Champions in Bloomington (article in Bloom Magazine) and we fell in love with the Stephens family then.  Of course as I moved around, I ran into another bride we had done in Vincennes earlier this year and it was like a family reunion!  We loved shooting Chelsea and Tony’s wedding for so many reasons but most of all because they are an awesome couple who know how to have a great time!

Jessie and Tony Eagle Pointe Wedding

Jessie and Tony had an incredibly beautiful October day for an outdoor wedding.  Their ceremony and reception were both at Eagle Pointe Golf Course in Bloomington.  Jessie picked the prettiest yellow flowers ever.  The flower girl, Izzie, is Jessie’s daughter and kept us entertained all day.  The ceremony was perfect with a beautiful blue sky and a gentle breeze.  After the ceremony, came the really fun part, where we got to drive the golf carts! Now I know driving a golf cart may not seem that exciting but when there is a hill that takes you down at death defying speeds, now that’s fun!  After we were done playing, we headed to the reception at the Eagle’s Nest which is full of beautiful rich wood and high ceilings.  The party really got started when the band started playing and Tony decided they needed more cow bell, so he, Jessie and Izzie all joined in on the fun.  There is so much love between these three that we don’t even need to tell them good luck; just enjoy!
